Players start with a limited amount of time and lives to reach the partner. After they have romanced with a member of their own species and there is a Mystery House built in the garden, it is possible to romance these two together to produce a Pigxie. Directing a Cluckles to an egg will cause it to hatch immediately. This message will show up if one or both pinatas can't manage to get into their house to romance, because another pinata or garden item is blocking their way, or they've tried to enter at the same time and managed to block each other.
Since they can't be selected, it's not possible to directly help them. If they've been stuck for a long time and the problem hasn't cleared itself, it is possible to whack them, water them, or move their house by crating it up and shipping it to yourself. The "walls" of the maze are red creatures called Loathers. Also around the maze are coins, but to be honest, these are never worth the effort to get them.
At most, you would collect 20 CC per mini-game, which is chicken feed by the time you get past even Whirlms. What does change is the level of control you have: some species move faster than others, some turn tighter than others, some stop quicker than others. The number of chances you have changes: the first time you attempt to romance any species, you get five chances.
Every few times you try again, the chances will decrease, possibly all the way down to one. Once you get the Master Romancer award for a species explained below , the chances usually bump back up to four or five. If you fail the romance mini-game and go back to the garden, the two targets will stand there sadly, and their pink hearts will be broken. After that, the hearts will repair, and you can try again with the same two, or have them mate with others.
Now, this is important If you get two Sparrowmints to romance, for example, they will each have to eat another Whirlm to qualify for a second romance dance. You may not notice this when you romance Whirlms because although the conditions reset, they just immediately get fulfilled again. Once the Romance Dance is done, a girl named Storkos will fly to the house and deliver an egg. In addition, the Twingersnap and Fourheads cannot be evolved in this way, and the egg of a lower level in the Syrupent family must be hit at the correct time with the shovel.
There are twelve extra species, each of which are only accessible through Evolution. To get a Reddhott , first obtain a Taffly make it a resident then fly it through the flame of a Firebrand until it catches fire. Use the Watering can to extinguish the flames and the evolution process will take place. To get a Candary , you must feed a Buttercup flower to a Sparrowmint. To get a Lackatoad , feed a Nightshade Berry to a Lickatoad then hit it on the head with your shovel.
Otherwise the Lickatoad will get sick. To get a Salamango , feed a Chili to a Newtgat. Feeding it a tulip flower will change it to black. You need to be around level 30 for this one to buy the items needed , but this should solve most or all of your money woes. Talk to Seedos a few times and eventually he will throw you the 'Bird of Paradise' seed.
After you get this seed, it will be unlocked in Costolot's store for 55 coins. Simply start a new garden, buy and plant as many of these seeds as you can, make sure to water them, and use Ivor's special mix fertilizer on them thrice.
Note that if you do not water the plants, they die. I suggest using the one pour wonder watering can also available in Ivor's shop. When they grow to maturity sell those suckers for chocolate coins each. Taking time out gain a coin profit will pretty much leave you sitting pretty after a few dedicated hours. Plant them fairly close together in 2 rows so that you can get at least 4 flowers in one dose of fertilizer.
Use Ivor Bargain's special mix fertilizer and position your cursor in the middle of a cluster of flowers. You should only have to use this between total times to get all 9 flowers fully catalyzed ormally about 27 times.
As long as you have a good watering can, or Sprinkles then you won't have to worry about them. Go about your business, and come back in approximately 5 minutes to see them fully grown. Now, instead of just selling them outright, take out your shovel and 'tap the flower' using X on your controller. Everytime you tap the flower, a flowerhead and a seed comes out.
Each flowerhead sells for CC, which times 4 is CC the amount you'd get if you just sold the whole flower by itself , plus now you have 4 seeds which you can sell for about the same you bought them for.
This time sell all flowerheads and seeds keeping as many seeds as you would like to reproduce, so you won't have to buy them again from Costolot's store. If you chose to do all 9 flowers, and reproduce 9 seeds each time, then you'll have a net gain of app. Next, put Gretchem Fetchem to work by having her find whatever pinata you want expressely.
In a half hour you can easily have 7 of a species. I recommend Taffly's, Flutterscotchs, and Sparrowmints first, for evolving reasons.
If you get 7 sparrowmints, you get the master romancing award for them, then make all of them eat a butterscotch flowerhead, they all become candaries, and you get the MR award for them as well. Same with Tafflys, get 7, get the award, then make them go through the garden torch one by one, and put them out with a water can once they are on fire, this will give you 7 red-hotts, the MR award for them, and they well for each.
Also, get 7 white flutterscotchs and evolve them to whatever you want. I evolved them to yellow by making them eating butterscotchs. Another easy method is using the 7 paper pets from the Paper pet lady, check out, go back to the garden, get all the rewards, then sell them all. Do this with every animal she has for easy levels and master romancing awards.
