Can you wash ironing board cover

Most manufacturers of ironing board covers, like ourselves, will include washing instructions on the product label. However, there are several rules of thumb that are worthwhile for your customers to know. Some ironing board covers can be machine washed. For these, just throw them in the washer with your regular detergent and wash on delicate for a full cycle. For those covers that cannot be machine washed, spot clean problem areas. For sticky starch spots, use 1 cup of water, 1 cup of vinegar, and three tablespoons of baking soda in a spray bottle.

Spray this solution on the area. Let it sit for a minute, then wipe the mess away with a damp cloth. While many covers can be machine washed, you should not throw any ironing board cover in the dryer.

The extreme heat will damage the cover. Just hang the cover up to air dry on a drying rack or clothesline. Set up the ironing board as usual.
